it's not that i don't want to blog that often. it's just.... it's been a dramatic shock to me physically this weekend that I am finding it hard to move around like a normal homo sapien.

I signed up for this one-session free trial at Les Mills, looking forward to the gym after an absence of nearly 18 months. all the muscles in my body have disappeared since then. replaced with less fat and more lively cells (!!!). With the burning desire in me to pump some irons, there I was, eager to try out as many things as I could. I was led by this gym instructor called Noah and there he was telling me all sorts of stuff that I could do with the gym with weights and stuff. the next thing i knew he was writing out a comprehensive programme for me. Dude, I am just 'trying out' the machines at Les Mills, no rush to have a comprehensive programme including all the details. Never too late to write one for me when/if I do sign up for Les Mills, eh? But no, there he was, insisting me to try on different machines and weights. The worst thing was I was given weights I could not possibly imagine I'd carry in my entire life! .... 3 sets with 12 reps/set for the super heavy weights. Not that I won't be able to carry, it's just I've been away for too long. I gotta start from the lightest one aint it? AT one point I told him, "I'm done! this is too much!" then only he let me go. fuck.

Here I am. wasted. Not from alcohol. but from too much burden. Not emotionally. but physical weights!

.... and it was. a two hour intense programme try out. Stina, the Les Mills gal even told me to come for another free trial the following day.... I guess I'll come back in a week? haha.

Friday night started after 9pm at the Opium. It was Lenny's farewell. He's off to UK. Met up with a lot of friends and met a few more new ones. It was a chance to relax after the intense workout. Left Opium when we were told to leave at closing time, most of the peeps head off home but I followed the smaller crowd to ST James and rounded off the night at Kiss Bar. almost 5am it was. It was a tiring but great night. Met a few fun loving ppl along the way, namely May (or May's?), Cat, Emily etc. oh btw, i'd like to thank Jono and Emily for taking me home else it would have taken me an hour to walk home. hah!

Saturday was a breezy one because We went for some healthy diet = yum cha! at Grand Park. Somehow Grand Park's much better than Grand Harbour. The food's faster! haha. This was followed by some shopping of really freaking cheap sunglasses. Guesss what, my Dirty Dog cost a dirt cheap price tag of .... (u guess it i wont' tell, cos too freakin cheap u'd think it's impossible)

grandpark1

I decided to take off after that. I needed rest. To recharge. :) Some of them went away for ice cream at Mission Bay.

Saturdays won't be complete without attending church. Had a dinner with Warren aka the YouTube Guy. We spent the whole night listening to his stories via his photos from his Laptop. An interesting life. Haven't had the chance to really see what's going on with one's life all the way back to 2003! man, it was a long one but I guess I could do the same. It's just I don't know how or where to start my story telling? Thanks for sharing Warren!

Saturday night ended just like that. Cruisy but sober. That's the main thing. Rare nowadays but it's good once in a while!

Sunday started at midday. (sorry to Kenny for not being there to support your half marathon)

oh, btw I gotta say this. Man u rox! 4-0. it's a bit off topic but yeah, bloody sky tv nz was stupid enough to NOT show this on tv. Stupid eh? Rugby's their bread.

Back to my Sunday,.... was out with new friends and joined new friend's party and met more new ppl. it was pretty random but it was all good. the more people u know the smaller the circle becomes.

jacq01

jacq1

The weekend ended with a bloody cheap skate stupid but damn funny video suggested by Warren. It was almost a guy's night (Carol joined in ^^)

Watched 'Harold and Kumar'? it's EXTREME!! maybe it's a new line for the guys *wink*

.... to be continued. I'm tired... really tired. Till then

Keep rockin' ppl. The world needs u.

Somehow this song is pretty meaningful. taken from one of Jay's latest songs...

Wish you happiness from the bottom of my heart. :)

The white windmill
Turning quietly
The real feeling
Distant like a dreamland
The sweet seawater
The complicated tears
I look at you smiling in a silly way
Holding my hand
I hope this dream does not have an end
It's good that we walked to here
Because I don't want to finish walking this happiness too fast
It's a shame there isn't a blessing
When I'm loving you I'm not lonely
I won't let you cry again

I carry you walking till the end
Can we not go back?
You hug me tightly
Saying you don't need a promise
You say that if I'm by myself I'll be freer
I don't understand what you're saying
I won't let go anyway
I carry you walking till the end
Can we not think too much?
Can we hold hands?
Get to the end a bit later
You say we shouldn't see each other again only for a moment
Thank you for letting me hear it
Because I'm waiting here forever

p.s. I know it's copyrighted so yeah it's one of his songs. Don't sue me.

Rock on!

Arron's Belated Party.

Let me make it clear. This is Arron + Wilson + Jason + Alice's party so I somehow think it will be super huge one.

Just helping out to publicise this to all who knows him/them. come to the party.

Below are the details (copied from my msn chat to him)

"K O N G & mates' bday drnk @ BUNGALOW8 Viaduct 9pm Sat 21oct. If u c ths, ur invtd!!! - "

Sweet?

At least we have something to look forward to this weekend. Long long weekend.

p.s. I might need to do something with my distribution list on my nokia phone. somehow vodafone has this little stupid limit whereby you're not allowed to text as many people as you want at any one time.... so yeah please forgive me if my txt didn't reach u last time... i did what i did it's just vodafone wouldn't allow such thing called 'spam'..... i'm figuring out a way to get around it. any thoughts?

There are some blogs which my friends have posted and these are worth reading. Take ten minutes of your time.

Mei and Audrey

Dove. Natural Beauty Distorted. Watch.

Now you understand the effect of make ups? Though not all make ups will make u look that good. :)

Use Photoshop.

If you know my msn u'll notice that i've been playing the same songs over and over again. 4 albums: jay, david tao, the killers and my chemical romance. not that i'm so into these albums. it's just... i'm lazy to play the other songs.

They're in my external harddrive.

If you've been following, my pc's just been formatted two weekends ago and now i'm just happy with a clean pc. No fun. Because everytime when i want to find some stuff i have to turn on my bloody external harddrive to retrieve them.

Nothing's perfect in this world. You can't have the best of both worlds. I just learnt this line less than 3 months ago. It works in this world i'm in.

I'm still awake.

15.10.06

Did you see this match? i'd be laughing my ass off if i's a croatian! ....

But Manchester United won last night. They're really on fire. Let's keep our fingers crossed that they could go all the way....

For the blues fans... sorry for the temp loss of Cech and Carlo.

Had a quiet drinks session with Jeng last night at O'Hagans with the company of Mia and her friends. It was a blast. Never knew these people could be so fun! Especially Kenny aka Andy Lau who somehow had a new experience in life that might jeopardise his half-marathon championship. *inside joke* anyway.... i got to know this NZBC Warren aka Warren G aka YouTube guy. He's so funny with this YouTube thing because he never fails to mention YouTube every second sentence he speaks! I think he spends 18 hrs a day on it. haha. (maybe he has this pop ups everytime he logs on to Woosh!)... and not to forget this chic Michelle. Some Maori chic came to ask her if she's Michelle (which she obviously is!) and was explaining to Michelle that they'r from the same high school and this dragged on for a few minutes where Michelle was still unsure if she remembers the maori chic. i guess someone's pretty popular back in high school. :P

i gotta thank Mia for introducing such happening ppl along to the quiet drink session (which in the end wasn't that quiet!) in fact, everyone at the table is on Friendster! haha! mind you, there are some people out there who claim that Friendster's bullcrap and a waste of time but quietly they will just sign up for one and browse anonymously for ppl on it! I'm not that one and I'm one active member trying to trace the old roots as well as knowing new ppl in this little city i'm in.

So yeah, this weekend was a pretty slow one but i did enjoy it. Cheers to the new life.

Before I sign off.... check this out....

My First Car in NZ

u want to buy it? hehehe. convincing enough?

14.10.06

Jay Chow's new album: have i commented about that? nah i'll pass. It's a good album anyway. no one beats Jay Chow.

The other artist that I am quite fond of will have to be David Tao. Tried to download the latest album using BitTorrent but somehow the songs are pretty screwed up with occasional Jap songs midway through. Fuckin' crap.

It's past midnight. I'm still awake. Not out tonight at all. Pretty quiet. Dead. Instead. Not the usual Friday nights.... but i'm alright. We need to rest once in a while so that we can push further. yeah.

This is what I'm gonna do. Stay home. Not doing nothing. There's bound to be stuff that I'd be doing everywhere I am. My plan: Do up my car. Polish up a bit. ....

Anyone up for O'Hagans on Saturday night? hmm....

Saturday night will be full of Premiership matches: Red Devils, Arses, and Blueshits. Somehow we'll make it indoor ya? Sure? Indoor?? Kev? hmm... we'll see about that.

Till then.

12.10.06

Returned the little car (if you wanna know it's called Daihatsu Sirion) to Toyota, got the Harrier (IF you wanna know again, it's called RX300 if it's a Lexus version) and paid a hefty sum of 182.25 nzd for repair and labour. fuck. so much for a getting a car back when what they could say was 'replaced fuel filter'. Well, what can we consumers say? I am not a car person myself thus whatever he said I just have to agree somehow don't I?

this is a photo took in 2003. i was probably the main driver back then when it was a healthy baby. haha.

Cars.... YOu just love them when they're performing. And you hate them when they fail you. But still, no one says no to a good car. What i mean by a good car is the luxurious type of car. Say for instance.... a Beamer. Or a Merc. ...

I'd love to own one of these. NOt now... how i wish i could have extra cash to splash on things this flash!

For now i'll just be happy with my own little underpowered car in Auckland... the little black sheep.

Have been looking around for a better yet affordable car. What do you think of this?

haha.

looks the same as mine for now but more powerful! but then... buying a new car requires lot of effort, time and money. just reminding myself: luxury vs necessity

Maybe I'll see what I can do with the current car. Maybe I just have to treat my car nicer. Give it one major cleanup, vacuuming, polishing and waxing. Black cars only look nice when they're clean. Don't they?

I've always liked Honda. They don't suck up that much petrol if compared to Toyotas. They're not that bad in handling. They're mass produced which make the parts widely available. They've got 2 door and 4 door versions of each model if compared to Toyotas. In terms of the look, Hondas look much much better. People always compare Civic vs Corolla. Who would you choose? Up to late 90's, in terms of the look I'd say Honda's look much better no doubt about that. But have you seen the latest Camry?

They look just like the big bro of IS250. In fact, they look a bit like Mazda 6 MPS.

Man I talk a lot about cars today eh?

Was out on site today and doing the usual boring shit... traffic survey stuff. To keep myself awake I had this new album of Jay's burnt and this cd was played for maybe a gazillion times from 9 to 5... if you're a Jay Chow fan you'll like this. Same style, just different lyrics and mood. Basically the songs you've listened to up to the 'Chopin of November' album, you'll get it in here. Nothing really new. Except for Jay fan like myself I need to listen to it. lol.

i've blogged enough. come back for more.

i'm returning this car for carol tomorrow. nice little car. but too small for me.... haha! i'm looking at a little 2litre accord. u have? haha!

11.10.06

Due to the insufficient interest in this trip (realistically) this trip might be postponed till next long weekend i suppose.

Reason 1: some ppl are busy with traffic surveys
Reason 2: some ppl have big birthday parties in the MIDDLE of the long weekend.
Reason 3: insufficient number (committed to staying at the cottage) making it too costly to stay for each person.
Reason 4: due to the reasons above, it's going to be a super short trip. too short to relax.

Might as well postpone it. It's too short a notice and too little time to prepare.

Maybe. Just maybe... we'll have it in December. Waddya think? All comments appreciated.

10.10.06

this is gon be short and simple: Taupo. Interested? No commitment from u whatsoever. just register ur interest (by posting ur comment). Date's fixed: Labour Weekend. Will book a cottage. it could be just 3 or 4 ppl staying over (gotta book a cottage first somehow isn't it? 4 for now, could be more at a later date). the rest of it works like this: come up if you're bored. just bring some food and drinks. sleeping bag and cash if you wanna stay over. place is there. just come. simple.

can't be simpler than that can it? contact me? u got my number anyway.

8.10.06

"no one dies a virgin cos life rapes us all"

Completely true. Let me put it this way "no one is born perfect, or he'd be a God by then" Don't expect one to be a God when he's only human. Don't expect to squeeze out 25 hours out of 24 hours cos there's, in fact, 24 hours. Don't expect your employee to be THE man when you know you're already THE man. Don't expect your employee to be like you because if he is, then he'd take your place, or rather, he would be just your clone. So what do you expect? Take it as it is. Give some advice along the way....

Take note: this is not directed to anybody in particular but rather it's a general discussion.

We are all growing up as a person. We grow up in different dimensions. Be it socially, professionally, mentally, or physically etc. Everyone is an individual. Everyone is different. Why do we need to be so fucking caught up with just one dimension of every individual when we can just stop to think and analyse (yeah that's the word) every individual's good points instead of criticising his bad ones? It takes one bad criticism for a man to destroy all the good work he has done in his other good dimensions.

Why can't we just be relaxed a bit and just take it as it is? We can't. We just can't. If we do, we'll be criticised like a million atomic bombs targeting at just that little 'bad dimension' of ours.

So I was told to relax a bit with my life. Just work and learn. Just stay focused on the big picture. The rest of it is not as important. So I did.

Destruction arrived. Just one blast.

I'll learn. Maybe I just shouldn't relax even a second. Every second in life counts. I will learn. I learn every second. Do you? Does anyone hear me? Does anyone else actually learns?? Or maybe I am the only one in this world that ought to learn? Negative i am not. I take everything as a positive point to advance.

Criticism is good. Constructive yet understanding criticism is even better. Learn to appreciate it is the best.

la vida es una perra? ciertamente mi amigo.

happy mid autumn fest to all. or rather mooncake fest for some people. i haven't had one complete moooncake this year. somehow i'm craving for one... went to mt albert to look for one at tofu shop but apparently they didn't sell it no more. bugger.

Do you know of any place in Auckland that sells mooncakes? i'm really craving for one now.... moon cakes....

haven't had a random night out for some time now. until last night. was about to sleep at midnight but Elton brought along some friends to drop by at my place. We went to 'Kiss Bar' for a bit. Somehow found it boring so we decided to go to the always-packed Margaritas.

Night ended up surprisingly good. Met a few regulars and new friends. that's what we do on weekends. Have fun. :)

Thanks to Elton for this. :Þ

7.10.06

my weekend so far's been very indoor... not that i want to emphasize it but it's pretty unusual. gotta owe it to me wanting to reimage my pc after 2 years storing junk files in it. now i'm here with my 'refurbished' pc. now i need a bit of break. wanna hang out? or maybe i'll just stay in for the rest of the weekend?? hmm... till then.

4.10.06

See the usage of my gmail? almost a gig now out of 2.7gb.... back in the days when you only had 2mb of mailbox storage in hotmail, then there was 6mb storage for yahoo mail, then 20mb for uk lycos, then came gmail with a big bang. now everyone's into gmail. it's clean, fast and easy to use. hotmail's so last century. reason i had a hotmail was the use of msn messenger. but now u can use gmail for messenger there's no point using hotmail anymore.

Still we just take the storage for granted don't we? do we still delete new emails? i have more than 2000 emails which i seriously have no idea how or when to start deleting it. maybe, just maybe i'll archive and burn them off to a dvd some day.

for the techies out there who use gmail, don't u think having imap features on gmail is much better than pop??

i have too much stuff in my gmail now. i'm thinking of cleaning it up by the end of this year. come to think of it it's already october.... less than 2 months to another year. i think i'm dated. i think i'm full of junk.

it's time to clean up the junk in my life. one at a time. probably i'll start from my pc. it's almost 3 yrs since i last did a clean up....

will push myself to do one this weekend. hmm.... any good deals on an upgraded windows xp sp2 out there?

3.10.06

msn content plus sux. don't ever go to this site to download the fucking stupid program. i first downloaded the program just for the 30 day trial. it didn't seem to work with my current msn messenger thus i decided to uninstall it.

the nightmare started from here.

I got annoying pop ups asking me to buy. Dude if i had uninstalled it wouldn't it disappear from my program forever?

no it wouldn't. checked out the running programs and somehow this msnlogs.exe and msnlogm.exe wouldn't go away even though i had ended it. tried c:\windows\ and this program existed and i had trouble deleting it.

searched through forums online and somehow i found this program called prevx1 and somehow it works! no more popups!

bear in mind that this prevx1 is a shareware.... hmm.... i gotta do something before something disastrous happens again..... tell me what i should do???

let's pray it won't do anything to me again.... my pc's slowed down a lot....

I gotta upgrade. it's about time. 3 yrs man....
