i guess my blog is a bit crappy now. but it doesn't matter to any one of you, as it's not your blog, it's mine. you'll get a sense of achievement everytime you are able to work out something or learn something. that's what i get from doing this. not this blog, i mean. well, for the past 12 months, i have been actively updating my site, learning new things from the web, collecting bits and parts of other people's homepage building technique and put them all together to create my own site. at first it was kind of fun, seeing all those animations, videos, mp3 streaming when my url was clicked. but soon after a while, realising that it's not possible for people using pstn connection to connect to my site, i went from hi-tech to low-tech. you can say it's a bit of a downgrading, but i think it's worth doing this as more people will be able to surf my site without the hassle of waiting. right now, i am using this dsl connection which is ok only if compared to uk's network connection. but i could not ask for more here. you have to pay to surf! friends keep asking me why i don't update my site that often these days. i have to say i don't know what to update. everything needs money and if you've got the money everything is possible. getting a domain is cheap. getting it hosted is ok for me. but to get the tools and stuff to make it interesting, you have to pay too. there's no way i could afford this. people say you can get free stuff from the net. yes it's true. but you have to find time to learn those free softwares, freewares, and it's not as easy as 1-2-3. i had this greymatter installed the other day and it was a headache. even my webhost could not get it installed. now, i have abandoned the free greymatter and switched to this blogger as it's more user friendly. don't ask me about perl, cgi, mysql, or shits like that, i have the heart to learn, but i couldn't find the time. if only there's a perfect host which knows everything and willing to set it all up for me. will there be one?

saw a pair of nike basketball shoes lately in the mall here. NZD440 !!! wtf? i wouldn't buy it even if i'm very loaded. a pair of Creative speakers (i mean normal ones) costs around NZD120 when i could easily get it for 130 RINGGIT!! my sister bought Jay Chow's album from China and guess how much they cost? 5 RMB! alright... maybe i'm living in a different country now, everything seems to be too costly for me. i remember when i first arrived in uk, everything seemed untouchable, but after a while when i got used to the currency, i spend whatever that's necessary. the kiwi currency is definitely lower than the British quid, but the technology here sucks. for you kiwis out there, i don't mean to be rude, but everything here is too expensive, and technology wise - back home in my country there's more gadgets than in the kiwi land. i used to compare malaysian goods with british, you know the answer for sure as to which country is more advanced. but comparing nz to malaysia? the answer is new to me when i first got here....
now i'm used to it already, what i like about this kiwi land is the scenery, the cleanliness, the simplicity. the people? alright, so far i find the people here are not as polite as in uk, but at least they're more polite than malaysians. take a simple example, do u ever expect a greeting at the cashier in malaysia? that is not a possibility. you can't argue with my point. it's just plain fact.
take one more example: driving. if you're in malaysia, would u let ppl turn before you do? don't have to tell me the answer. it's simple and short: no. why? if u let ppl pass, the car behind you would rev up his engine ( i assume it's a he instead of a she, as most malaysians who do this are guys ), instead, u turn in as fast as you could. in the kiwi land, we don't usually do this. we let people pass whenever we could. we want to be polite. we are gentlemen. sometimes, i think the people here overdo this. the rules here emphasize Give Way Rule, which i think is too much of a nuisance. in fact, they are too confusing. for you kiwis, you probably would understand what i mean by 'confusing': when you are turning left into a street on your left... what i think is, keep it simple, do what your instinct tells you! currently listening to Black Eyed Peas - Where is the Love?

just washed my car and this is the first time it took me more than an hour to do the basic cleaning up. u know why? i got a company --- it's a cat! yeah, a cat, 'dumped' by it's owner who happens to be the former owner of our house here. i had fun with it so much that i temporarily forgot that i was supposed to wash my car! washing a car in the middle of a winter is no fun man, but i really enjoyed that moment... with a cat.
Sorry for making you guys worried in my previous blog. i just said whatever that's crossed my mind when i blogged. now i'm a bit ok. thank you so much for your concern. let me update myself here. i've just enrolled and now i'm officially a canty student! also, i've passed a driving test . yeah yeah, it's such a fuss as a permanent resident who's had his full license back home for 4 years now has to re-take a beginner's level driving test. whatever my complaint is, i would like to put a full stop here. there's no point talking too much about it and not finding comfort from it. if you had followed my blogs for the past 12 months, you'll notice that most of my blogs are all about complaints, bullshits, football (soccer in american term), blah blah blah. well, you have to deal with it, cos that's what life is. when you don't have something you wish for, you complain. when you have something you never wished for, you also complain. when you are at an intersection and you don't know which direction is best for you, you think of all the what if's. there are so many things in life that you wanna do but you can't physically accomplish them at the same time. then you tend to plan the whole thing, u draw a big timetable, slotting in whatever you have in mind in the tiniest slot you could find and trying to make full use of all the time, hoping that whatever is squeezed into these holes would make up to your expection. in the end, you fail to accomplish all. but think of the bright side of it i should say, u have 10 plans, u accomplished 6, failed 4, what's the result? do the math. most of the time you tend to push yourself to the max, which i am doing now. maybe after a while you would think 'oh, this is not what i wanted, i should have just focussed on doing the 6 main things and do them perfectly', but did u know you would accomplish these 6 particular tasks when you had to do 6 tasks perfectly? no rite? that's the thing. make full use of your time. life is short. don't kill time just for the sake of killing it.
