It's official: I will be graduating with an MEM. it has been a long long year for me. I've been through all ups and downs throughout the past 13 months. All i can say that it's been a very fruitful year, learning all sorts of subjects in management which I myself could not believe it still. From management accounting, financial accounting, economics and finance, business law, HR, Intellectual Property, project management, quality and maintenance management, innovation and technology, through to marketing and sales, strategic and operations management and commercialisation. If you ask me what i learnt from all these, i'd say i only know the basics, it's just too much stuff in each of these papers. the most important lesson i learnt was time management. keeping an up to the minute diary is essential for survival. keeping constant contact with people is another important survival tool too.
For people who want to study MEM, keep one thing in mind: you'd better dedicate every inch of your muscle to this thing, as slacking for even a minute would spell disaster! I have not been a brilliant student but i believe that success comes from perseverence. Now i've done it. It's really time to celebrate. I've never felt such sense of achievement in my life (even though i'm only passed a quarter of my lifetime). Graduating in Nottingham was not very pleasant. I knew I could have failed anytime. But this degree (MEM) is the best i've ever tried and i'm proud of it.
It could be better. I'm anticipating..
