The Committee, a collection of 10 dance music enthusiasts with over 80 years combined clubbing experience, presents Australia's number 1 female DJ - Bexta, as part of the Mixology 9 CD Tour.

BEXTA (Australia's Number Female DJ)

When you look at the list of achievements of Australia's No 1 female dj and possibly the most successful hard dance producer in Australias dance history, you wonder how she has done it all. And when you ask Bexta that question, this quietly spoken talent admits she feels she hasn't even started. Which makes it all the more cool. Bexta has had 8 single releases to date, one of which was a 5 star international anthem (quoted by Radio One, BBC London, and DJ Mag UK), called "One for the Road". She's released one EP - the Skirmish LIVE Ep, which entered the ARIA singles charts in 1999, and an album, Conversations with ones and zeroes. The album reached number 8 on the ARIA independent album charts, which was released on her own label in Australia. Who has ever heard of a hard dance music producer in Australia achieving all of that?

Bexta's DJ sets are legendary, playing interstate most weekends across Australia. This is Bextas first appearence in NZ since 03 (Playing the Big Day Out). Bexta never sticks with the same tried and tested formula, she is a chameleon of dance styles from the Dirty Electro, The Hard Tek, Through to the pulsating hard stuff.

INTERNATIONAL DJ SUPPORT LINE UP FROM: DJ CHIA (Australia) - The Temptress Of Hard Dance

Born in Slovakia, raised in Brisbane and currently based in Sydney; Chia is one of the nu-breed of hard dance DJs currently rocking clubs across the nation. Her infectious energy and undeniable presence has seen Chia regularly grace the decks at top clubs and festivals in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

Her raw talent, sheer determination and consistency is inspiring, gaining Chia a reputation as one of Australia's finest hard dance DJs.

Currently Chia holds residencies with Sydney clubs Plastic, Progress, Daydreams, WanteD and Thursday Delight playing up to 8 sets a week. Traveling interstate on a regular basis she's played at top Australian clubs Family, Bass Station, Hard Kandy, Rise and Bubble. She's also a regular at large events billed at Transmission, Slinky, Frantic, Advent*jah, System 6 and Global Panic.
