It was census night last night. did you participate? i mean, everyone in nz has to participate. by law. I got the form sent to me. decided to fill it up online. couldn't even finish the first page as i was required to have an internet pin. called up the freephone number. thought i'd get the id straight away. NO. had to wait for it to be delivered by post. wtf...

Technology aside, I think census is a good snapshot of the whole population and its change over a certain period for the country. Being a frequent visitor of stats website myself I find it pretty impressive to know the details of each region right down to the smallest town you can find. Check it out at www.stats.govt.nz

Even though some people may want to run away from this census every 5 years using crazy ideas (http://www.nzherald.co.nz/section/story.cfm?c_id=1&ObjectID=10371610) I think there's an act which protects the privacy of every individual. No worries... :)


On a sadder note, privacy really means a lot when you're in deep shit. Especially those who dare to reveal themselves while making out, not showing a bit of concern about their own privacy, without even thinking about the risk of losing it to unauthorised third party. For those in nz, you might not know this but this is a really serious case (and a hot topic too) in Singapore. No idea how serious this is? just type "NYP TAMMY" in any search engines. Under aged. Sad.

I couldn't stand watching the whole 10 damn minutes (I stopped just in time as this is not at all appealing). In fact it's just another home made porn but with a lot of publicity. Keep it to yourselves my dear young couple. Why did you have to film it? Crap.
